 Set Up the Controllers

  • Controllers should pair automatically with the headset. If not, follow the prompts in the app to pair them manually.

Hand Tracking

  • What it is: Hand tracking lets you use your real hands as controllers in VR without needing physical devices. Cameras or sensors on the VR headset detect the position and movements of your hands and fingers.
  • How it works: The system uses built-in cameras to track the motion of your hands and render them as virtual hands in the VR environment.
  • What you can do:
    • Point, grab, or pinch virtual objects.
    • Navigate menus and interact with the VR interface naturally.
    • Perform gestures like waving or signaling.
  • Example: Instead of pressing a button to pick up a virtual ball, you can simply reach out with your hand and “grab” it in VR.

Benefits of Hand and Body Tracking

  • Natural Interaction: You can use your body and hands intuitively, just like in real life, without relying solely on controllers.
  • Enhanced Immersion: Seeing your movements mirrored in VR makes the experience feel more realistic.
  • Broader Applications: Ideal for fitness apps, training simulations, education, and social VR platforms.

Together, body and hand tracking make VR experiences more engaging and lifelike, allowing you to interact with the virtual world just as you would in the real one.
