Introduction
As teachers, we continually hope that students are listening carefully to our lessons and directions. Unfortunately, some will not pay close attention to what we are saying. This becomes a problem when they miss vital information during instruction and can affect their learning. In the following units, we will look at the activities and methods designed to help them become active listeners, engage and respond to a speaker, and complete a task by following directions.
