Generative AI is a type of Artificial Intelligence (AI) that can create new content—such as text, images, music, videos, or even 3D designs. Instead of just analyzing or sorting data, generative AI learns patterns from existing data and uses that knowledge to generate something new
How Does Generative AI Work
Generative AI is typically powered by machine learning models trained on large datasets. It uses two key steps:
- Learning Patterns: The AI studies examples (like text, images, or sounds) to understand how they are structured.
- Example: It might study thousands of photos of cats to learn what makes a “cat” image.
- Generating Content: The AI uses what it has learned to create new, original content.
- Example: Based on the cat images, it can generate a completely new picture of a cat that has never existed before.
