1. Set Up Your Quest 3 for Mixed Reality

  • Clear Your Space: Make sure your play area is free of obstacles to safely interact with both virtual and real-world elements.
  • Enable Passthrough Mode:
    • The Quest 3 has advanced color passthrough, allowing you to see your surroundings through the headset.
    • During setup, the headset may guide you to define your play area, which is essential for Mixed Reality experiences.

2. Access Mixed Reality Apps and Features

  • Download the Nudle Nexus MR-Compatible Apps:
    • Go to the Meta Quest Store and look for apps or games labelled with Mixed Reality features. Examples include:
      • Nudle Nexus: For creating and interacting with 3D objects in your physical space.
  • Activate the App: Launch the app, and it will automatically use the MR features of the Quest 3.

3. Interact with Digital Objects in the Real World

  • Use hand tracking to interact with 3D digital objects overlaid in your physical environment.
  • The headset’s cameras map your room, so virtual objects can interact with real surfaces (e.g., a virtual ball bouncing off your real table).

4. Passthrough

  • Open the Quick Settings menu in the headset to adjust passthrough settings, boundary preferences, or Guardian setup.
  • Experiment with the Passthrough Home Environment: This feature lets you blend your home surroundings with virtual objects like screens or widgets.
